ABOUT RIYA
Hey, I’m Riya — the woman behind the camera at Frame of Heart.

I picked up my first camera thanks to my dad, who loved photography as a hobby but never got to chase it full-time. Every piece of gear I started with was his, and when I landed my first gig, he told me, “I’m living my dream through you.” That moment stuck — and so did the passion.

I got my start snapping events in Auckland clubs, made some amazing connections, and eventually became a full-time in-house content creator at a marketing agency.
It was there that I fell in love with videography — shoutout to Jordan Federici for that one. From there, I jumped into the freelance world and never looked back.

Now, through Frame of Heart, I get to tell stories in all shapes and forms. I don’t believe in fitting into a niche — I’m adaptive by nature. Whether it’s food, fashion, family portraits, architecture, or content for brands, I bring my full creative heart to every project. Just ask, and you shall receive.

Highlights so far? Creating for the Blues rugby team and Carlos Ulberg (yes, that UFC fighter). But truly, my favorite part of the job is helping people see the beauty I see — through my lens.
